I Just couldn’t take it any longer. One of the biggest problems with online dating, we can’t use our senses. Our natural way to make connections is gone. No eye contact, body language or personality. There is no energy to draw people together. It’s not going to change, unless I did something to change it. So here’s the plan…. Our local bars are dead in the summer. Why not use a place with a liquor license, AC and maybe even music to host open gatherings for singles to get together and play assorted games? I’m sure there are available venues all over to have events such as this. Games like cards, dice, board, ect… Would be a great way to meet other single people, have a couple drinks, conversation and even some fun.
I have now have over 30 different games and people can bring their own as well. Those who are not big on games can come anyway and just sit at the bar and observe or visit with other non-gamers.
I’d like some feedback, as much as I can get. I like to research things before I tackle them. Please let me know your thoughts on the Idea. Give me ideas on how to;
*Organize it
*Advertise it
*Best day/Time to have it
*Other events besides games
*Should it be a group, so we can have different hosts in different locations and also be able to organize group trips or day events. I believe “meet-up” would be a good place to create a group and keep people informed.
*Ways to keep it fresh and fun. Like having assorted nuts and bolts, handing out nuts to the women and bolts to the men and see if anyone can find a match first, for a simple prize or awesome gift. It makes people want to engage more.
